EstatePod helps residents and estate administrators coordinate meetings, maintenance, community notices, and urgent estate alerts.
Information we collect
Account and estate information
We process your email address, authentication and session information, account role, estate membership, and information you provide while joining or administering an estate. An administrator may also provide an estate authorization code, which we use to confirm access eligibility.
Community and operational information
We process meetings, maintenance schedules, estate notices, acknowledgements, support requests, and resident-created urgent alerts or reports that you submit or that are visible to your estate community.
Device and technical information
If you enable mobile notifications, EstatePod may process a push-notification token and related device information so we can deliver alerts to your device. Our hosting and security systems may also process request timestamps, IP address, browser or device information, and diagnostic logs needed to operate and protect the service.
How we use information
- Provide, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot EstatePod.
- Authenticate users and confirm resident or administrator access to an estate.
- Display meetings, maintenance, notices, and alerts to authorized estate members.
- Send notifications that you or an estate administrator has enabled.
- Prevent abuse, investigate security events, and maintain necessary audit records.
- Respond to support, privacy, and legal requests.
Service providers and disclosure
We use service providers for cloud hosting, authentication, database storage, email delivery, infrastructure, and mobile notification delivery. These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services to us and under their own contractual and legal obligations.
EstatePod currently uses Supabase for authentication and hosted database services. Mobile notifications may use Expo and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging when that feature is enabled. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, investigate abuse, or support a corporate transaction.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect account and estate information, including encrypted connections to the service. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so protect your password and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide EstatePod, maintain security, support estate records, resolve disputes, and comply with law. Retention varies by data type.
You can request deletion of your EstatePod account and associated personal information through the account deletion page. We delete or de-identify account-associated information when we complete the request. We may retain limited security, audit, backup, or legally required records, and we will explain those exceptions in the deletion response.
Your choices
You may update certain account information through EstatePod, decline optional notifications, and request access, correction, or deletion of personal information. Some information may be visible to authorized members of the estate where it is part of a shared community record.
Children and international processing
EstatePod is intended for adults who manage or reside in an estate community and is not directed to children. Our providers and systems may process information in countries other than your own.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as EstatePod, our providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and update the date above.
